Hunter’s Gear Swap

Join Outdoor Recreation at the 1918 Club in the Ballroom on August 15 from 4 – 7 p.m. for our annual Hunter’s Gear Swap event.  Open to all eligible hunters or anyone who is interested in hunting and fishing on Fort Moore with proper ID; must be Active Duty Soldier, retiree, family member (with dependent ID), DoD civilians.

Hunter’s Gear Swap is essentially a flea market for hunters; a great way to save money on gear you might not be using anymore by selling or trading it & for those bargain hunters, a great way to grab/purchase some great used gear. 

Hunters selling/trading: participation fee is $10 fee and registration is required, fee secures a slot at the 1918 Club; firearms and ammunition can not be sold or traded and are excluded (fee does not include a table/chairs, participants must bring their own table/chairs if needed rent via the Equipment Resource Center).  Register today by visiting Outdoor Recreation, building 1707, 7310 Gillespie Street, +1 (706) 545-7978 or visit the Recreational Shooting Complex, building 2975, 7839 1^st Division Road, +1 (706) 545-6158.

Shoppers/bargain hunters: Even if you’re not interested in selling any hunting gear, this event is free to attend so come out and see what others are selling and talk with fellow hunters about trading. You never know what kind of gear you’ll come across!

Afterwards, head over to the 1918 Club Ballroom and attend Fort Moore’s annual Hunting, Fishing and Recreation Open House to get the latest information on all hunting, fishing and weapons regulations on the Garrison! Meet local businesses and vendors of the Recreation, Hunting and Fishing Community and receive updates on all hunting, fishing, and recreation policies while enjoying free refreshments.

The event starts at 5 p.m. and ends at 7 p.m.!
