Preschool Storytime & Early Literacy Workshop: Weather permitting, story time and crafts takes place every Wednesday, 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. at Blue Fields on Zuckerman Avenue.
American Girl Book Club: 1st Wednesday of each month (Starting August 4), 4 – 4:45 p.m. for ages 7 – 13. Books will be provided by the Library.

Army Soldiers, units, Families, and communities – they all work better when they’re fit. That doesn’t happen by accident. It takes commitment. And you can do it! And at our Installation we do it with a fun-activity! Join the Milton E. Long Library in the 2023 STRONG B.A.N.D.S. (Balance-Activity-Nutrition-Determination-Strength) Bingo starting May 1 until June 4. STRONG B.A.N.D.S. promotes healthy, active lifestyles for Army communities. It helps motivate Army Soldiers, Families, Retirees and Civilians to get and stay fit.
But that’s not all – participate to stay fit and healthy but also to win one of the many great prizes the Library has in store for you!
Are you committed to stay fit? If yes, stop by the Milton E. Long Library and pick up a STRONG B.A.N.D.S. BINGO sheet. Build your Healthy Habit by completing an activity on the BINGO sheet. Set your goal and complete one Bingo each week! Once your card has a complete BINGO (5 in a row, left to right or diagonal), return your Bingo card back to our staff at the library latest by Friday, 5 p.m. – make sure your name and phone number is included – in order to be placed into the weekly drawing to win one of the many great prize. It’s that time of year again – participate in the 2023 Summer Reading Program at the Milton E. Long Library, sponsored by Headquarter Nissan and United Through Reading! Join DoD MWR Libraries worldwide as we explore ways to “Find Your Voice” Registration is simple!
Step One: Register online at https://www.beanstack.com – Find a Site – choose Fort Moore!
Step Two: Log your reading and activities.
Step Three: Earn rewards!
Log your minutes and earn incentives! Beginning June 14 and running through July 26, meet us at 10:30 a.m. every Wednesday at the 1918 Club, Building 128 (except on July 5, to overserve our countries Independence). Our weekly gatherings will feature performers from magic shows, storytelling and more! Light refreshments provided. Participants who reach their milestones are able to pick up their incentives each Wednesday after the entertainment.
Registration begins June 1 and is open through July 21! Once registered, participants may begin logging their minutes. The last day to log minutes is August 2!

Aside from an extensive collection of print material, our library offers a variety of equipment and services, including free wireless internet, 77 desktop computers, thousands of DVDs and CDs, digital audio books, book clubs and children’s programs. Our research and reference resources are second to none, and our librarians are always happy to help. If you don’t find what you need, perhaps we can borrow it from another library.
Patrons must have a library account in order to place a hold. If you do not have a library account, you need to come in and register for one.
