At Fort Moore, we celebrate Independence Day a little early! Our annual Independence Celebration, June 29, provides Soldiers, their families, and our surrounding community a safe environment to enjoy a free concert, children’s activities and a fantastic fireworks show!

Modern Country artist Brett Young, headlining the free concert, is set to capture hearts with his “Caliville” style. Special guest Huntley, Season 24 winner of The Voice, will captivate the crowd with his style of Southern blues and rock paired with his commanding stage presence. Black Rhino Sound, the electrifying Texas DJ, will kick off the evening and energize the crowd.

The 2024 Fort Moore Independence Celebration, presented by Kia Autosport, will also include a Kids Zone sponsored by Headquarter Nissan, aerial demonstrations by the Silver Wings,  34-foot jump towers and a variety of food vendors.

The Maneuver Center of Excellence Band concludes the evening with a patriotic score choreographed to the Floor & Décor fireworks show.

The 2024 Fort Moore Independence Celebration starts at 4 p.m. on York & Gardner Fields, located on Eckel Avenue in front of McGinnis-Wickam Hall, Building 4. The public is invited to join our Soldiers and their families for a free concert, fireworks and more!

The Fort Moore 2024 Independence Celebration is presented by Kia Autosport and sponsored by Floor & Décor, Headquarter Nissan, the Gary Sinise Foundation, USAA, Goodwill, Rose Anne Erickson Realty, US Border Patrol, Flint Energies, East Alabama Chamber of Commerce, Alabama Institute For Behavioral Health and Research, Q107.3, Kissin 99.3, Boomer 102.5, 106.9 Rocks, Classic Rock 105.5 and 103.7 LITE FM.

Meet the Artist

Modern Country artist Brett Young, headlining the free concert, is set to capture hearts with his “Caliville” style. Special guest Huntley, Season 24 winner of The Voice, will captivate the crowd with his style of Southern blues and rock paired with his commanding stage presence. Black Rhino Sound, the electrifying Texas DJ, returns again this year to kick off the evening and energize the crowd.

Winner of Season 24 of The Voice, Huntley gained mass recognition for his versatile style and command on stage. Compared to the likes of Chris Stapleton and Radiohead, Huntley’s polished performances garnered him as having performed on big stages his whole life. No stranger to the music grind, Huntley earned the crown and has continued to captivate fans and audiences. Huntley’s performance is best described by coach Niall Horan “…a machine on stage, it's insane.”

From his self-titled debut in 2017, Brett Young has captured the hearts of fans everywhere through his honest lyrics and West-Coast-meets-Southern sound, aptly dubbed “Caliville” style. Pairing an impressive string of seven #1 hits like “In Case You Didn’t Know,” “Mercy” and “Sleep Without You” with multiple hit albums defined by an undeniable romantic spark, he has cemented his status as a master of matters of the heart. Young was named ACM’s New Male Artist of the Year and ASCAP’s Country Songwriter-Artist of the Year in 2018.
