Note: This event has already passed.

February is designated as National ‘Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month’ (TDVAM).

Every February, young people and their loved ones join together across the country for a national effort to raise awareness of any issues in teen dating violence through Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.

The Family Advocacy Program (FAP) partners with MWR Smith Gym Instructors and the Middle School and Teen Program (MST) to teach Middle and High School Students basic boxing stance, basic footwork, and how to throw a punch while building your fitness, mental conditioning, team building, and self-defense skills. Join us on February 8 from 4 – 5 p.m. at the Middle School & Teen Center (MST), 7110 McIver Street, Building 1055 for this exciting class! Pre-registration is required since space is limited! Attending youth must be registered with CYS to attend this event at MST. First come, first served - register today by calling FAP at 706-545-0892 or 706-545-3202. Masks and social distancing are required to ensure everyone’s safety. Don’t miss this opportunity!
