Middle School & Teen: Agricultural Discovery Camp

Since Faith Middle School will be out of school on October 10 & 11 and Chattahoochee County Middle High School will be out on October 10, the Middle School & Teen Center is thrilled to invite all youth in grades 6th – 12th for an exciting Agricultural Discovery Camp! This two-day camp kicks off at 7:00 a.m. and runs until 1:00 p.m. at the MS&T Center, building 1055. This will offer students a unique opportunity to get their hands dirty as they learn about planting, harvesting, and caring for crops. From learning about animals to understanding sustainable farming practices, this camp offers a unique opportunity for students to connect with nature and develop valuable life skills.

And that's not all – on Friday youth will have the option to go on a field trip to the Georgia National Fair in Perry, Georgia! Youth will depart MS&T at 8 a.m. and return at 6 p.m. The fair entry fee is $14, and the ride armbands are $35 (optional), payments are made at the fair. We will be providing lunch and a snack during the trip, but we recommend youth to bring extra spending money for souvenirs and treats. Get ready for a fun-filled day at the fair!

Parents can register their child for the camp between September 23 – October 8 at Parent Central, building 104 or online via WebTrac. The cost is $34 daily and includes breakfast, lunch and activities. Youth must be registered with CYS and have a MS&T orientation packet on file and sign a field trip consent form at MS&T to participate. Hurry, as slots are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
