Hunting, Fishing & Recreation Open House

Are you an avid hunter or fisherman? Or are you interested in learning all the regulations about hunting, fishing, and other recreational opportunities on Fort Moore? Outdoor Recreation will host the annual Fort Moore Hunting, Fishing and Recreation Open House from 5 – 8 p.m. on August 24 at the 1918 Club in the Regimental Room. This event is free and fun for the whole family, but it’s a must for outdoorsmen who need the latest information on hunting, fishing and weapons regulations. Meet local businesses and vendors of the Recreation, Hunting and Fishing Community while enjoying free refreshments and win great door prizes. We’ll also award raffle prizes:

1. Traeger Pro 34 Bronze Wood Pellet Grill
2. 4-hour Fishing Charter - Trip for 6 People at Destin Army Recreation Area
3. YETI Hopper Flip 8 Soft Cooler
4. An annual Family Membership for the MWR Recreational Shooting Complex.

Raffle tickets are $3.50 each, and you can get them at Outdoor Recreation/Equipment Resource Center, the MWR Recreational Shooting Complex (RSC) and Uchee Creek Campground and Marina starting July 10. For more information, call +1 (706) 545-7978.

(This event is open to all eligible hunters: Soldiers, retirees, family members, and DoD civilians; not open to the public).

Schedule of events:

5 – 6 p.m.: Participants will be able to meet and engage with vendors and experts from Outdoor Recreation and the Fort Moore Conservation Branch while enjoying free refreshments; free food and beverages are available.

6 – 7 p.m.: Programs and Organizations present information/updates/changes to regulations about hunting and fishing on Fort Moore, to include weapons regulations.

7 – 8 p.m.: Distribution of door prizes and announcing winners of all raffle prizes
