ACTivate

Grades K-2, Tuesdays, 6 classes in total, 3-3:45 p.m.

This hands-on, exciting workshop will create a new "city" and everything that is in it: buildings, roads, parks and community helpers. As actors, students will use their body, voice and imagination to construct their characters. They will write scenes that help solve city problems. Let’s see, together, what your creative city does to help others and what characters your student comes up with!

Storytelling through Ecosystem

Grades 3rd-5th, Tuesdays, 6 classes in total, 4-4:45 p.m.

In this storytelling development class, we will create a world where we travel through the unforgettable ecosystem! Through the power of storytelling and creating unbelievable characters, students will be able to explain how the ecosystem is structured through the art of storytelling. Witness the power of story that lives in you and different communities.

Improvisation 101!

Grades 6th-8th, Thursdays, 6 classes in total, 3-3:45 p.m.
Improvisation will sharpen even the quickest wit and keep you on your toes. Students will develop confidence, spontaneity, expression, fearlessness and teamwork. The most important person on stage is your scene partner! Learning to make discoveries and saying, "Yes and..." will bring out the best in your students and their stage performance.

Creative Movement with Metaphors

Grades 9th-12th, Thursdays, 6 classes in total, 4-4:45 p.m.

Words are powerful. So are you. We will explore how creative movement can help express metaphors in this lively class. We will dive into understanding how figures of speech, symbolism, and imagery impact movement through space through different elements of creative expression. Using the body as the most important and powerful tool of communication, we will explore what happens when words and movement coincide.
