February is designated as National ‘Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month’ (TDVAM).

Every February, young people and their loved ones join together across the country for a national effort to raise awareness of any issues in teen dating violence through Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.

Join the Family Advocacy Program (FAP) on February 15 from 2 – 3 p.m. at the Middle School & Teen Center (MST), 7110 McIver Street, Building 1055 for the ‘Communication is a Work of Art’ workshop. The FAP team partnered up with an instructor from Painting with a Twist to create an original, beautiful piece of art while learning about healthy communication skills. Pre-registration is required since space is limited! Attending youth must be registered with CYS to attend this event at MST. This class is open to all Middle and High School Students, first come, first served - register today by calling FAP at 706-545-0892 or the MST program at 706-545-3202. Masks and social distancing are required to ensure everyone’s safety. Don’t miss out on this great and fun activity!
