Abandoned Vehicle Closed Bid Auction

Deals on wheels! We will auction a variety of used and abandoned vehicles, including motorcycles, on August 24 and 25, daily between 8:30 a.m. through 6 p.m. at the MWR Impound lot on Main Post, at the corner of Prussman Street and Bradshaw Road (next to the MWR Property/NAF Warehouse).

Bidders pick up a bidding card and envelope and will place their bid inside an envelope. This can be done between Thursday, August 24, 8:30 a.m. until Friday, August 25, 6 p.m. (we will not accept a bid after 6 p.m.).

Your friendly MWR Auto Skills Staff will collect all bids and announce/write highest bid on each vehicle/motorcycle at the following times: Thursday, August 24 at 8:30 a.m. (some items have a start bid!) and 1:30 p.m., and on Friday, August 25 at 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.!

Place your bid – come back and check if your bid is still the highest and if not – place another bid!

• You must check your bid in person, we can’t provide any information on bids over the phone!

The highest bidder for each vehicle/motorcycle will win the auction and will be notified on Monday, August 28 by staff from the Auto Skills Center.

Bidders must obtain a bidder's card.

We accept cash, VISA, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover. Vehicles/motorcycle must be picked up starting on Tuesday, August 29, until latest (close of business) Friday, September 1, please call ahead to schedule an appointment (schedule a day and time and we ensure staff will be at the impound lot) to pick-up your vehicles/motorcycle!

Must show paid receipt to remove your item.

• Some vehicles have a minimum start bid.

• Not all cars have keys - cars will be marked appropriately.
• The auction is open to public (must have access to Fort Moore).
• Customers will not be able to start cars - cars that start/turn on will be marked appropriately.
•  Customers are allowed to open cars and look inside, including engine area.
• Customers will pick up bidding cards at the impound lot when they arrive.
• MWR Staff will announce highest bid per vehicle at the following days and times:
• August 24: 8:30 a.m. (starting bid for some itmes) + 1:30 p.m.
• August 25: 8:30 a.m. + 1:30 p.m.
• Winner must place highest bid on vehicle/motorcycle latest by 5:59 p.m. on August 25; Auction ends at 6 p.m. on August 25; no bids will be accepted after 6 p.m.!  
• To check highest bid, stop by the MWR Impound lot! We can’t provide any information on bids over the phone!
• Acceptable payment: cash, VISA, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover.
• Vehicles/motorcycle bike must be picked up starting on Tuesday, August 29, until latest (close of business) Friday, September 1. Must show paid receipt to remove your item.
• MUST schedule an appointment to pick-up items! Please call ahead to schedule an appointment (schedule a day and time and we ensure staff will be at the impound lot).
