23 years ago – Never Forget!

Each year we honor and remember the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001. Join us for our annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on Saturday, September 7 at Doughboy Stadium.

Pay tribute to all FDNY firefighters by climbing or walking the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center; 110 stories equal around 2,200 steps or about 2 miles of stairs.  9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is a way to never forget one of the most tragic days in American history.

We will meet starting 8 a.m. at Doughboy Stadium; all participants are encouraged to wear full firefighter gear which will be available at the check in (firefighter gear is limited, first come, first served).  The 9/11 Stair Climb starts at 9:03 a.m.; the first plane crashed into the North Tower at 8:46 a.m. and roughly seventeen minutes later, at 9:03 a.m., UA Flight 175 struck the World Trade Center Tower 2.

Pre-register online via WebTrac or in person at Smith Fitness Center, day of event registration is available as well.  Participation fee for the event is $10 and the first 150 paying participants receive a shaker cup or water bottle including a commemorative 9/11 decal. This event is not recommended for children under the age of 13.

Can’t make it on September 7?
